Microsoft 365 basic or standard subscription allows you to have a 50GB mailbox.
Increasing the size
To increase the size of a mailbox you need to:
- purchase an Exchange online plan 2 license
- assign the license to the user
Configuration
Enter Exchange admin
- select the user’s mailbox. In the “General” tab the mailbox is still at 50GB
- move to the “Other” tab. Select “Manage mailbox archive”. Enable it and push “Save”
