Black screen when capturing via Obs Studio

Problem

using a laptop with Windows 10, through obs studio you want to capture the screen but this is completely black.

Solution

  • Open Settings and search for “Graphics Settings”.
  • On new window, select “Classic App”
  • Browse to OBS studio program, that should be in C:\Program Files\obs-studio\bin\64bit\obs64.exe
  • select “Power Saving”
  • run OBS
